Minor Blues

Now we are changing the color a little bit from yesterday and diving into our minor blues. These exercises follow a simpler form than the major blues. We are also just going to focus on just a few basic key centers C-, F- and Bb-

Just like yesterday, you will see pre-written out bass charts I notated which use a variety of the bass line formulas we learned earlier. I recommend practicing both the written bass line and then developing your own bass line in that same key.

With each exercise you will find a corresponding play along track with the bass line cut out.

Note: Remember that music for “bass” is always written an octave higher than it sounds. Every one of these charts should be played down the octave from what is written.
