Here is What's Next…

Pre Lesson Checklist

  • Make sure you have the most current version of Zoom installed on your computer, smart phone or tablet. You can download Zoom here.

  • Please use headphones for your lesson and make sure there is enough cable length from your video source so you can play your instrument at the same time. Without headphones, there is a lot of audio feeding back issues that tend to arise.

  • Although this is not required, we strongly recommend using an external microphone to help with the quality of the audio.

  • Before your lesson, please test your connection with a friend or family member. Remember that all lessons are in 1 hour time slots so please try your best to minimize any potential technical problems before hand.

  • To get the best sound out of the Zoom app, it is important to disable all of the built in audio background noise suppression software. When you open your program toggle over to the audio settings. Once you are there, click on “Advanced” and then check the box that says “Show in-meeting option to ENABLE ORIGINAL SOUND from microphone.” Also, check the box that says “Disable echo cancellation” and check the box that says “High fidelity music mode”

  • During the first lesson, I will budget an extra few minutes to experiment with the sound set up so we can get everything dialed in the way we need to.
